If your questions are not answered here, please do not hesitate to phone or call in and ask our friendly staff.  We ourselves have automowers working succesfully at our own properties!

Do I need a small, square lawn for a Husqvarna Automower to work?
No.  Husqvarna Automowers are capable of mowing any lawn shape.  They will also handle slopes up to 45% and areas up to 75,000 square metres.  Shape or layout of grass is not an issue either - as long as you chose the model that suits your property.

So how does the Husqvarna Automower work?
The Automower will mow grass within an area you define with a pegged down or buried 'boundary wire'.
Some new EPOS models utilise GPS rather than wires in the ground and are accurate to 20mm.
The mower will mow for as long as possible before leaving itself enough power to get back to the dock to recharge.  You can set the mower to mow any day, any time and if it is still within that designated time the mower will start mowing again when charged.  There are no clippings to collect as they are only tiny pieces that fall down to mulch the lawn.

What is the finish like on the lawn when using a Husqvarna Automower?
Second to none.  Most lawn mowers tear the grass when cutting, which can leave a jagged and yellowed edge. Because small razor sharp blades are doing the work, the cut is very clean.  Because of it's small size the Automower follows contours and undulations resulting in a very even finish.  Its small size and weight also means wheel tracks don't get left behind.  Believe it or not a Husqvarna Automower will actually improve your lawn; The grass thrives being cut a small amount regularly and from random directions, but the weeds will keep being cut down to the height of the desired grass length - eventually dying off.  The small clippings of grass act as a mulch and breakdown to feed the lawn and retain moisture.

Does the Husqvarna Automower work in all weather?
Yes.  100% rain proof and UV stabilised, Husqvarna Automowers are designed to live their life outside.  The finish of the cut is hardly effected in the wet, as the mower is only cutting such a small clipping at any time.

Can I use the Husqvarna Automower to mow front and back lawns or lawns in separate areas?
Yes.  All but the first model of Automowers can operate a 'guide wire'.  This gives the mower a wire to follow into another area. For example: If you had the charging dock in the backyard, you can run a wire along a corridor to the front lawn and instruct the mower to follow that for however far: For example - 18.5 Metres, and how much out of a percentage the mowing starts in this area: For example - 25% of the time if your front lawn was say a quarter the size of your back lawn. Some models have a 2 guide wire function for essentially 3 separate working areas.

What if my Husqvarna Automower was stolen?
It will be useless.  The mower is PIN coded to the charging dock.  If a mower is taken from a yard it needs the dock to work, and once power is lost to either unit the PIN code will be required to operate again.  Hopefully it doesn't get that far anyway, as a loud alarm will sound if the mower is lifted, or even if the stop button is pushed and the PIN doesn't get entered in time.  Nearly all models have GPS units in them, which will alert you with a text message to your phone and the units can be tracked live with Google Maps.

What ongoing maintenance does the Husqvarna Automower require?
Very little.  Aside from the occasional clean off with a stiff brush, the only thing needed to do is replace blades.  This is done in a couple of minutes with a phillips head screwdriver.  How often this is needed depends on how much other debris - mulch, twigs, gravel etc the blades strike during the mower process.
